I'll be bringing the parts for the beetlebots that we will be making at the Wonderlab robot event on January 22nd. If you are interested in volunteering for that event, please come by and learn how this is going to go down. We will need volunteers to cover two soldering stations during the 3-4 hours of the event. That can either be two very dedicated volunteers, or many volunteers just changing out over the course of the event. We are planning on soldering together 10 beetlebots with the kids helping and there will be an arena for them to run the bots around in. Good times! See you tonight. BloomingLabs is heading to Wonderlab for Metal Mayhem: Festival of Robotics January 22nd (Tomorrow!) from 11:30am-3:30pm. There will be all types of robotics related activities to choose from, but BloomingLabs will be building BeetleBots and then seeing how well they hold up when they are all bumping around the same space. You?ll have the chance to use hot glue guns, soldering irons, and possibly experience the soothing characteristics of the Aloe plant. Help us assemble BeetleBots using soldering irons and hot glue guns, and then test and adjust the BeetleBots as they perform on a tabletop arena. Visitors will receive instructions for building a BeetleBot at home.
