I thought I'd send this to the announce list since there may be a  
wider interest. Ivy Tech Bloomington is offering two welding courses  
as well as a machining course this spring.

Machining Fundamentals

This course provides an overview of
machining operations, including basic
sequences, mill, lathe, saw, and drill
press functions. Students will learn
about materials used and various
tasks using these machines. This
project-based course will be taught by
seasoned instructor, George Williams,
and will be enlightening for beginning
machinists.

Exploratory Welding

Learn the essentials of welding in this
8-week course with veteran instructor
Mark Scranton. Once you have the
basics you’ll work on a personal project
that reflects your area of interest.
Welding processes and fabrication
will include: stick, MIG and TIG, gas,
brazing, torch cutting, and plasma
cutting.

cutting, and plasma cutting).
