Sat. Nov 15, 7pm-??? Because of the limited number of items we are limiting this to people who reserve a spot. Still, people can work on teams (usually 3-4 people is an ideal team size but ymmv) and share a Sparkor two. Some projects might benefit from multiple Sparks. One project has claimed 2. As to what it is - basically think Arduino but w/ built-in wireless and a 'cloud' based programming interface. So say you set up your sensor in your crawl space, you don't have to crawl down there if you want to re-program it (still do when the battery runs down though). Additionally you can communicate w/ it via a RESTful API, opening up possibilities for web and iOS apps. https://www.spark.io/ So, if you are interested send a note to contact at blooominglabs (dot) org to reserve a spot, and please tell anybody you know who might be interested. As to who we'd like to see: programmers, hardware/electronics gurus, really arty types, really practical types, really practical arty types, basically anybody w/ skills and interest and ideas (in some combination). Having somebody take pictures to help document the event would also be nice. Bringing stuff to play with and hack on is also a plus. Thanks and hope to see some of you there, Steve -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We'd love to have people who are familiar with open hardware, the maker community, etc, which is why I'm reaching out to you all. You can sign up as a mentor at the link above. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! best Shauna -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
