The first one is this coming Tuesday at 7pm. After that they are monthly, last Tuesday of the month. This is not a class, more a chance for people interested in Arduino to get together, trade ideas and knowledge, and show off projects. I wanted to also mention the Python club which is also a partnership with MCPL. That one's happening next Tuesday. Hope to see some of you there. http://mcpl.info/event/bloominglabs-arduino-club-mcpl http://mcpl.info/event/bloominglabs-python-club-mcpl Steve -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I know the timing isn't great with the mini-maker faire and all, but it looks like there may be some good deals, especially if you're planning a MAME cabinet. Check here for pictures: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.815804848480487.1073741842.161845900543055&type=1 Here are the details on the page: Two years ago I (Brent) helped to organize a sale at the warehouse owned by a friend of mine. Time has come for another sale to liquidate equipment and clear out space. So, its Open House At the Warehouse 2.0 in Louisville, Ky. The warehouse still holds a fair number of pieces and includes some additions since the first sale. Some dedicated games can be had. Among those are a XYBOTS, a Vindicators, a couple of Cruis'n USAs, an Off Road with several sets of steering wheel and pedal assemblies, B/W Exidy Robot Bowl, and 3 Hang-Ons. The balance of the video games range from complete, converted, games to empty cabinets that have never had a game in them. If you are wanting an inexpensive game or two, or perhaps a cabinet for a project, this is a great time to pick something up. This is also a good opportunity to acquire spare parts. This will be the last sale. We will do not plan to run another. If you want a game, a cab, or parts, this would be the time to get them. Here is the pricing run down: Non-dedicated cabinet designed for a 19? monitor $10 to $50 Non-dedicated cabinet designed for a 25 (or larger)? monitor $50 to $75 If the game is complete in that it has everything necessary to be ?a game? (Cab, monitor, board, power supply, controls) then its going to be on the top end of the range. The more missing the cheaper it is. Want a crane? We have cranes. $5 to $10 each. Want a jukebox for the game room? Rock-Ola Mirage 3000 series 100 CD boxes $25 to $100. Like the video games complete boxes will be on the top end. There are a couple of parts boxes to go on the lower end. We also have several 45RPM boxes. $50 to $150. Skee Ball Machines. 2 (and perhaps a 3rd) available. They need re-assembled. All as one lot, with a good sized box of balls, for $50. Dart Machines $75 and up. Pool tables $450. There are also a couple of Fortune Teller Machines (including cases of cards), some change machines, older jukebox wall boxes, candy machines, some generic video game art that would make great game room decorations, a few stashes of parts here and there, plush for cranes, and other miscellaneous coin-op equipment. Everything is fair game, just ask. The sale will be Saturday, September the 27th. The office is at 1508 South 7th Street, Louisville, Ky. 40208 Doors will open no later than 11:00AM Eastern. Once on site you will see a 2 story red brick building across from the office. On the far side of that building is a gravel/dirt lot with a concrete loading dock/ramp. I ask that everyone gather there. This sale will run like the first. Once the doors open everyone will have the opportunity to come in for a preview. Shortly thereafter I will gather everyone together and start the sale. If you want a piece we will label it with your name and phone number. When you are ready to load out you pay, per item, as it is removed. Cash only to be paid, in full, day of sale. No Credit Cards, checks, or payment plans. Everything is As Is / Where Is. We will not plug anything in. Power is extremely limited and will be dedicated to lighting. All sales are final. No Pre-sales. All items must be removed the day of the sale. Please do not try to enter any buildings until everyone is invited in. If you have a dolly please bring it. We will have a few just in case. We do suggest you bring a flashlight. This process has worked well in the past. Everyone has an opportunity to see what is there thus avoid a rush. I have been asked about the Pac cabs and pricing. We are going to treat them as if they were any other 19" cabinet so they fall into the $10 to $50 range depending on level of completion. Here is the run down on games with a fixed price: Cruise'n USA ? $75 Cruse'n USA With ?New? Monitor ? $300 Monitor estimated to have about 100 Hours of run time on it before the game was stored. XYBOTS ? $100 Game boots to attract mode. Vindicators ? 60 Starts blind but you can hear attract mode and it will coin up. Hang On ? All 3 for $50. 2 are viewable, side by side, in the pictures, the 3rd is not in the same room in the building. Deer Hunter ? $130 Boots Air Hockey table. $200. Dynamo table. Bright orange with the score display that bridges the game. I believe this game is black light reactive. Gauntlet Dark Legacy. $275 Boots, images shake. I also say out a lot of parts and pieces. Taito and Williams metal PCB mounts, Generic artwork, coin buckets and lids, jukebox wall boxes, etc. There are many more parts available as well. You just have to do a little digging!! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... We will have the Laser Maze that Bloominglabs created there for the teens to use. If you have teens that might be interested in this, here is more information about the event: http://wonderlab.org/programs/events-calendar/teen-night-sept2014.html It's a teen "night at the museum"! Enjoy free admission, free food, and hanging out with friends. Test your stealthiness as you contort your body to get through a full-size mock laser maze, created by Bloominglabs, without setting off the maze's alarm. Make your own 3D desktop mini maze with help and materials from the IU Design Studies Student Organization. In addition, the IU Neuroscience Club will offer science demos that explore the brain chemistry and the psychology of fear, plus a fight-or-flight tag game. This event is only open to teens in middle and high school (or home school equivalent). Jay -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
