Firstly, we will be doing a circuit bending workshop with Wonderlab at their summer camp program called Wondercamp. The kids are 4th - 6th grade and we will be there this Friday, June 26th from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. There will be several counselors to help me, so although they are inexperienced, I think I'm fine by myself. But if you'd like to help, it would be great to have more Bloominglabs members there. Contact me at jtillots at gmail.com if you'd like to come help out. Secondly, AND MORE URGENTLY, we will be doing a circuit bending workshop with the Monroe County Public Library this Saturday, June 27th, from 1pm to 4pm. The library staff member who was going to help with this cannot make it this Saturday, so it's just going to be little old me. I sure could use some help. If you can help with this workshop, please contact me at jtillots at gmail.com. Thirdly, there is going to be a public hack night at the Monroe County Public Library on Tuesday, June 30th from 7pm to 8:30pm. This will be mostly Arduino/Python based stuff, but I expect any electronics or Raspberry Pi projects will be welcome. There will also be other Arduino/Python hack nights at MCPL on July 28th and August 25th. Lastly, Bloominglabs is leading Arduino workshops on Tuesday, July 7th and Tuesday, July 21st from 7pm to 8:30pm at MCPL. More hands always makes these workshops go more smoothly. If you can help with these workshop, please contact Steve at mistasteve at gmail.com. Feel free to send me any questions you have about these events. Either me or Steve would be happy to explain them in more detail. Bloominglabs gets a lot of publicity from doing these workshops, and these events further our charitable mission. Thanks to everyone who helps out with these. Wonderlab, MCPL, and all the kids really appreciate it, too! Jenett -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The library has some laptops and some Arduino and BeagleboneBlack related stuff to play with, and of course people can bring whatever they want to either work on or just show off. It is loosely structured, not unlike public hack nights, with more of an electronics and programming focus. Drop by and/or please spread the word to anybody who might be interested.
