We will start the Intro to Programming course on September 17th. You can
find a syllabus for the course at
http://harold.uits.indiana.edu/~jtillots/IntroToProgramming/syllabus.pdf.
All classes will meet from 6pm to 8:30pm on Thursdays at Bloominglabs which
is located at 1609 S. Rogers Street. The course is based on the C
programming language and we'll use Kernighan and Ritchie's book "The C
Programming Language" as the text. This is a 10-week, 2 1/2 hour a week
college freshman level class, and we will not meet every week, but we will
end before Christmas.

Cost is $125 for non-members/$50 for members. If you are interested in
attending, please drop me a note. You'll need to pay the class fee to
reserve your seat, so get your payment in as soon as possible.

For those of you who have already signed up, please get payment to
Bloominglabs soon. You can send the payment through PayPal to
treasurer at bloominglabs.org or you can drop off your payment at
Bloominglabs. Also, be sure to get a hold of a copy of the text book. It's
a great reference book and you won't be sorry you purchased it. I hear
there are also bootleg PDF copies on the Internet. In either case, we will
be relying heavily on the book, so make sure to get a copy.

On Monday night, September 28th, there will be a full eclipse of the Moon.
As long as there are no clouds, I will be at the space from 9pm to 10:30pm
with my 4" reflector telescope to take a look at the Moon as the Earth's
umbra passes over it. At 10:11pm, the Moon will be entirely in the Earth's
shadow and it will turn red - should be quite spectacular. Come on by
Bloominglabs and check it out!

I checked about 20 minutes or more ago, and could see the moon pretty good
then with a little cloud cover.  So there are spots in the cover, but is
hard to say

Yeah, cloud cover and it's raining. :( Check outside at 10:15 to see if you
can see the totality. Maybe it'll clear up by then.

Some of you may remember me from months ago. I'm the guy who built rockets.

I didn't have a lot of free time, so I wasn't able to become a member, and
I moved to Boston this summer. But I'm still getting your emails, and I
took some pictures of the eclipse tonight I thought I'd share with you,
since it sounds like it was cloudy tonight in Bloomington.

Some of you may remember me from months ago. I'm the guy who built rockets.

I didn't have a lot of free time, so I wasn't able to become a member, and I moved to Boston this summer. But I'm still getting your emails, and I took some pictures of the eclipse tonight I thought I'd share with you, since it sounds like it was cloudy tonight in Bloomington.

On Sunday night, September 27th, there will be a full eclipse of the Moon. As long as there are no clouds, I will be at the space from 9pm to 10:30pm with my 4" reflector telescope to take a look at the Moon as the Earth's umbra passes over it. At 10:11pm, the Moon will be entirely in the Earth's shadow and it will turn red - should be quite spectacular. Come on by Bloominglabs and check it out!
