This is the Wednesday of spring break. The Wonderlab page for this event is here: http://wonderlab.org/programs/events-calendar/i-d-e-a-labs-build-a-brain-bot.html We're going to be helping kids to build these: http://makezine.com/projects/make-39/sunbeam-seeker-bot/ We usually cap this workshop at 20 kids. They will be 4th grade on up unless they are accompanied by an adult. I need at least 4 other people who will do this workshop with me. Can anyone help? I already have a couple people signed up and there's still room for at least 2 more people. The limiting factor for this class is the number of heat guns we have, so if you can supply your own that's even better. I have attached some photo of a couple plant towers I've done. The cost of the class is $40 for non-members and $30 for members per tower. You can pay at the beginning of class, either cash or square, but please let me know by this evening should you like to attend. If there's interest in another class on another date, that can be arranged as well. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Oh hey, that's where I work! *I'm* looking for a new developer. So why am I broadcasting this to a Bloominglabs list? Because CNS loves makers. We work to make data readable to the people who need to understand it. Most of the time that means developing visualizations, data analysis workflows, and the software that produces those, all of which benefit from your ingenuity, of course. Occasionally, though, a special project comes along that needs just a little more inventiveness and making/hacking know-how--I can talk with you in person about some of those. If you're interested, please apply to https://iujobs.peopleadmin.com/postings/21663. Feel free to ask me anything about the job either via email or in person tonight. They are traveling back by car from a FL vacation. The servo in his robot burnt out and he is desperately looking for a replacement so he can practice tonight. He has a Futaba S3114 micro high-torque servo. You guys know where he can borrow one or purchase one. I?m going home at lunch to check my stash of electronics but I figured I?d send out the call to guys. With the Treasure Chest closed down, I?m not sure where to go for RC parts in town. Thanks.
