I'm going forward with the class on cluster system administration. The
class will be hands-on, and using Bloominglabs' equipment, people will set
up a management node, a login node, and a small compute cluster. We will
use Linux (of course) and the class will cover things like DNS, DHCP, LDAP,
PBS (or SLURM if there is interest), PXE, node discovery, security, and
xCAT. If we have enough time, we might install MPI, HPL, and benchmark our
clusters.

The class will meet for 3 1/2 hours one evening a week for 7 weeks starting
the week of January 23rd and going through the week of March 6th. The
course fees for nearly 25 hours of class time is $50 for members and $125
for non members.

If you are interested in taking this class, please fill out the following
Doodle poll and tell me the day of the week and preferred time (5:30pm-9pm,
6pm-9:30pm, 6:30pm-10pm) you would be able to meet.

I'm attaching a tentative syllabus to this message. I've tried to highlight
the hands-on components. Get back to me if you have any questions.
