[edit] What it is

A chance for us to build some projects using the Spark.io board. It is a small, inexpensive (free for us!) Arduino-like board w/ wireless built-in, and a 'cloud' development environment and API.

Info on the Build Night Here: Build Night

We are going to be sent:

  • (10) Spark Cores
  • (10) Spark Buttons: a new shield for Spark with LEDs, 4-way clicking like a game controller, acceleration and temperature sensing.

Note: this is hosted by Instructables and they ask that we submit 2 Instructables about projects built at Build Night. Both Steve and Vic have volunteered to do write-ups, but the more the merrier.

[edit] When it is

Need to finalize this but how about Tuesday the 11th, Thu the 13th, or Friday the 14th (or some combo)?

[edit] Who we'd like to see there

  • Hardware Hackers
  • Software Hackers
  • Artists with creative ideas
  • Non-artists with creative ideas
  • Artists or non-artists with practical ideas
  • Somebody (or multiple somebodies) with cameras and camera skills to help document the projects

[edit] Project Ideas

  • Crawl Space Monitor
  • Bathroom Occupancy sign in the Workshop
  • Magic Wireless Neopixels people can interact w/ via the Web

[edit] Stuff we need

(Make a 'wish list' of things you like to have there for building - hopefully we can pool resources amongst ourselves)
